Susan was one of the most caring people I’ve ever known. Anytime she saw me and my sister, she wanted to do our hair, play dress-up, and make us feel special in ways only she could. She attended birthday parties, ballet recitals, and always gave us the best Christmas gifts.
Old Shoe’s love, joy, and kindness continue to guide me. Though she’s gone, her spirit walks beside me every day, inspiring me to turn loss into purpose and to fight for a future without blood cancer.
